A Look Inside PureAir’s Systems
Potential clients can find it challenging to envision our chemisorbant media within a unit. Here, we present an image featuring Sulphasorb 2™ media installed in an Emergency Gas Scrubber. While reviewing the media options detailed on this page, consider this visual reference. Note the even distribution and secure fit of the media within the media bed. It’s essential to avoid overly compacting the media, as this could impede airflow and reduce filtration efficiency. PureAir’s knowledgeable sales team is available to address any additional inquiries regarding the installation and application of our acclaimed chemisorbant media.

FACILITY TYPE: Aquarium
LOCATION: Abu Dhabi
EQUIPMENT/MEDIA USED: PurePak 18 filled with Ammoniasorb®
PROBLEM: Ammonia buildup in the penguin and bird habitats threatening their health and comfort. The challenge is further complicated in these cold, enclosed habitats where ammonia is less volatile and lingers longer.
SOLUTION: PureAir®’s PP18 Modules filled with Ammoniasorb chemisorbant media. Seamlessly integrated into their existing Air Handling Units, these modules control and maintain safe ammonia levels in their animal habitats.

Impregnated Activated Alumina Media
We offer multiple types of activated alumina that are impregnated with potassium permanganate. PureAir® starts with the highest grade activated alumina to ensure that the greatest possible capacity is reached. This alumina is then impregnated with potassium permanganate while being formed into a pellet. PureAir 4
PureAir’s 4 media targets a broad range of gases which cause corrosion, odor, as well as other undesirable gases.
PureAir 8
PureAir 8 has been developed to have roughly twice the capacity of PureAir 4 media. This second generation adsorbent media was developed in order to provide customers with the maximum adsorption benefit at the minimum cost.
PureAir 12
Has been developed to have roughly fifty percent greater capacity than PureAir 8 media. PureAir 12 meets the requirements for UL certification.
